IC: I keep up this appearance simply to blend in better. I'm not exactly human... I never was. I've lived hundreds of years - I'm not immortal by any means, I just seem to live longer than most. When I'm in my natural form, my skin darkens to a pale blue, my hair bleeds to white, my eyes shine with the brightest of gold, and the wings that erupt from my back are comprised of soft white feathers. I'm not a full-fleged deva... never will be... I'm a lesser deva. I have some of the perks with none of the responsibility. This has allowed me to pursue my own passions and desires, working my way through the ranks to the top of the Shadow Thieves. My mentor, the previous leader was murdered in front of me. Once I'd exacted my revenge, I led as he would have - eventually abdicating to lead my own life. I'd come close to love, but it never seems to last. This little life of mine is rather dangerous with enemies lurking around every corner. The last thing someone like myself needs is family or friends - which are nothing more than targets to my enemies. Regardless of this, I've managed to keep and maintain a few close friendships - turning from common thief to devoted protector of these souls.
