End Piracy, Not Liberty

Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.

The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

You may notice a lot of players have filtered names, this is in protest of PIPA and SOPA.

If your name has been changed owl me, SpinalRemains, to get it changed back NOT WitchyWoman.

Petitioned. Censoring internet should not be allowed.

I signed. I don't think they should be allowed to do this... Posting the link to HL FB, possibly my RL as well.

I already signed the petition this morning - as soon as I saw it... Censorship to this level is intolerable. It would create a new witch hunt - and all it would take would be for one person to post a piece of 'intellectual property' on a website and someone to decry it, just to get it shut down. That's too much power for one governing body, in my humble opinion, and stand wholeheartedly against these two pieces of oppressive legislation.

Anyone who wants to keep the internet free from unreasonable censorship should take action, and should stand with us and sign the petition. It's not Hollywood vs. the Internet - it's Hollywood vs. the People.

I am sure nearly everyone who uses the Internet is against this. The bill would affect the entire globe. I don't really think the government could risk going against so many people. Baah. Hopefully, and most probably, it shall never be passed.

They have held it till February due to public dis-appeal and have purposed OPEN instead, which is fairer.

I believe that they have ended SOPA, but I think PIPA is still very active. I sent a letter to my representative saying thank you for voting against SOPA. I dont know very much about PIPA but I do know that it could still harm the internet in many ways.
