You can change your Hogwarts House after three months

I know in the books you're not allowed to change your Hogwarts House but since a lot of you are unhappy with your current house I re-added the ability for people to switch houses after being in their current house for three real time months. Yes, you have to wait three months to change your house affiliation.

I wanted to leave Slytherin at first and change to Ravenclaw...but now I think I'm enjoying it too much.

Amazing! Thank you! I was really really in need of this. Glad you actually listen to what the players have to say, unlike admins in other games. I salute you! :D

P.S.: In the books, you also aren't forced to pick a house you might not like, so, this is more realistic. :p

@SeverusSnape it was only because we were tired of the cry babies. ;)

;) In my opinion, suggesting something that was very much needed is different than crying. Screaming due to being ignored is also different. However, you would rather tell the people you do not care about the players, but give us what we want to shut us up? Interesting. :o

It was an option that was broken and simply hadn't been fixed yet. It wasn't that it was being completely ignored, we knew it was broken but other stuff took priority over it (i.e. fixing the site when it goes down). And my comment was directed at you and was sarcastic.

Well, I certainly would have liked being told it was broken by the various admins I mentioned it to. :P Oh well. No reason to argue. :D

I'm getting a lot of system notices about the new blog post. :p I've already read it multiple times, thinking it's the reason why I'm getting so many, but no dice. Can this be fixed?

I thought this was important... -.- Well, it's good that people can change their house i guess.. But as I think it doesn't matters so much which house u are in :p

MuggleInDenial • Tuesday, January 19, 2010 - 12:19am • #23

I'm still getting multiple owls...
Not that I mind that much.

@Glow
You discovered a quite peculiar little bug; if you went straight to the post instead of the front page of the blog it wasn't marking it as viewed and then every time you logged out without reading the new blog post it would remind you to upon your next login. I thought I fixed the multiple owls completely. Thanks for pointing this out. Now the owls work like they're supposed to.

@MuggleInDenial
I fixed the multiple owl problem just now. You'll only get multiple owls if you log out before reading the new blog post. Basically it will keep reminding you to read the post every time you log in until you actually do visit the link in the owl or the blog's front page. =)
