Just clarifying, a lot of the time a chat ends up being full of my family, but it's not really intentional and we don't start wars with other families or whatever. We just like spending time together, and end up gravitating together kinda. Should we keep the family time in Godrics Hollow, or just the issues? (I hope that made some degree of sense o.O)

I'm willing to try it. Hopefully it works like you lot think it will. I'm with Jenna. My family is HUGE. We all migrate together as well, though we do try and keep it to dwellings now, but I have the same question as Jenna. Does that mean all family time needs be kept there, or just family issues/drama? Also, just to clarify, does this rule hold for spouses too?

I think it's a good idea but I think it should be opposite godric's hollow should be off limits to families so anyone who gets mad can escape to there because if you're in a regular chat and family gets on the same chat everyone has to pick up and move?? what if we're out of portkeys or something I just think this is too complicated, plus I'm confused about the specifics as well.

You can be all cuddly and stuff with your spouses and whatnot in normal chats, that is part of the game. We'd like to keep all family time there if its going to be talking about your family. If you aren't talking about like family stuff and are just having normal non-family related conversations with them you can do those in other chats.

I agree with Jenna and Ismene, as I'm in their family. We're huge. I've been on before and theirs like 15 family members in a chat, and we all just kindaof ended up in one. How do we move 15 people to a new chat, what if is a couple of them are out of portkeys? were suppose to leave them behind. I know Jozlin was saying use owls, but owls are good between 2 people. I'm rarely in a convorsation with just two family members. It may be annoying to some people, but some convorsations are annoying to others as well. Example, when people start talking about their RL stuff, or the fact that no one rps on this rp site anymore is annoying. We should have a chat where you have to rp in to talk there. If people are annoyed with a converstaion they should move to another chat, there are plenty of chat that are never used.

Alright, that makes sense... Though I do think it's a good idea to have a chat where no family stuff is allowed, as well or instead of. I dunno, I guess it'll be worth just seeing how this works before we change anything else.

It will take a bit to even see the change, I don't think many people read blogs and not everyone can agree where the limit is to moved to Godrics. I think there should be one with no family allowed, not only one for family, there's too many hl families.

Its more of the fact people will be having a conversation and families will come in and completely take over the chat will their family talk. Its annoying to everyone that was there talking. I for one, and I know A LOT of other people feel the same way, when you can't go into a chat without talk of HL family non-stop its annoying, especially when there is a firstyear and as soon as they post in chats someone is trying to force them into a family. If a lot of staff actually had their way, families would be banned from HL.


And if people don't read the blog, it'll be their fault when they get warned for it in chat, the owl the system sends when a new one is posted says that.

It's cool that Godric's Hollow is a location because you can have a new place to chat and fight with other players. If your family is there, you can have a long chat with them. You can also check out the new shops at Godric's Hallow. In the Harry Potter books, you find out that Harry's home is Godric's Hallow. Harry's the main character, so it's a good thing that they made Harry's birthplace a location.

I think its great. My whole family meets there anyway. That was an awesome idea!
