Custom Title
The same office that colors names will, as a separate perk, let you overwrite your earned title with one of your own choosing. Your Voldemort Encounter count keeps climbing underneath it regardless; a custom title covers the earned one, it does not erase the counting.
What It Costs
As currently configured, setting a custom title does not spend Donator Points. What it spends is patience: the option stays hidden in the Lounge's Rename Stuff office until your lifetime Donator Point total, everything you have ever earned, not just what is unspent, clears a threshold.
- Unlocks at 5,000 lifetime Donator Points. Below that total, the option does not appear in the Lounge, VIP membership included; a custom title stays something you earn.
- Every custom title after your first raises the bar by 5, so the office wants your lifetime total 5 points higher than it did last time before it will let you change again. Nothing is deducted either way.
- An active VIP Membership gets 20% off, whenever a Donator Point cost applies, once you have already cleared the threshold above.
Coloring a Title
A custom title accepts the same color codes a name does. See Name Colorization for the full swatch of every code available; nothing about the palette changes here, only which piece of text it is painted onto. Titles carry no separate limit on how many codes you use, though the character cap below will run out well before any code count would.
The visible text of a title tops out at 25 characters. Color, bold, and italic codes do not eat into that count on their own, but everything together, visible letters plus every code, is capped at 90 characters total, so a title layered with formatting spends that larger budget fast.
Resetting It
The Lounge also offers a free reset that clears your custom title and lets your earned title show through again, no cost, no threshold. A reset does not lower the bar it raised: your next custom title after a reset still needs the same higher lifetime total the last one did.
Where It Appears
Anywhere your earned title would otherwise show: before your name in chat, on your character bio, in the online list. The earned progression title in Titles & Achievements keeps rising underneath it on its own schedule; a custom title is a cover, not a replacement of the underlying count.
Custom Title: because sometimes the castle's own opinion of your accomplishments and your opinion of your accomplishments are two different documents, and only one of them is editable.
