Service 1: Text Colors Tutorial

Introduction:

  • Ginger leans in conspiratorially
  • Treats formatting as nuclear launch codes (overly secretive)
  • "It's actually super simple, which is good because I'm not great with complicated stuff."
  • "That's why I work here instead of, you know, somewhere that requires a college degree or survival instincts."

Color Code System:

  • Uses backtick (`) followed by character
  • Available codes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ~, !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, ), e, E, g, G, j, J, k, K, l, L, m, M, p, P, q, Q, R, T, t, V, v, x, X, y, Y

  • Try button to test formatting

Ginger's Commentary:

  • "Eric says the red ones are his favorite, but I think that's just because they remind him of blood. Vampires, am I right?"
  • "These colors work in your name and conversations. Just don't use too much red around the vampires. Gets them all worked up, if you know what I mean."

  • Charm Comparison: Snarky analysis (see below)

Charm Comparison System

Ginger's Charm Analysis:

  • Compares your charm to target's charm
  • Whispers: "`7%s is also [comparison]"
  • Five tiers based on difference:

Tier 1: Exact Match (your charm = their charm):

  • "exactly as attractive as you are - which is to say, you'd both be about a 7 on the 'would a vampire bother to glamour you' scale."

Tier 2: Way Less (your charm - 10 > their charm):

  • "`bway`b less attractive than you are. Like, if you're filet mignon, they're gas station beef jerky."

Tier 3: Less (your charm > their charm, but <10 difference):

  • "less attractive than you are. Not that I've been comparing or anything. That would be weird, right?"

Tier 4: More (your charm < their charm, but <10 difference):

  • "more attractive than you are. But don't feel bad - most vampires have had centuries to perfect their skincare routines."

Tier 5: Incredibly More (your charm + 10 < their charm):

  • "`bincredibly`b more attractive than you are. Like, supernatural levels of hotness. Probably glamours their dentist for free cleanings."

Broke Player Mockery

If Gold < 100:

  • "`7Oh honey,`0\" Ginger says, eyeing your empty pockets."
  • "`7let me tell you what I know about broke customers.`0"
  • Fake stat display:

Poverty Stats:

  • Name: "Too Poor To Remember"
  • Level: "Probably can't even afford synthetic blood"
  • Hitpoints: "Fewer than my remaining brain cells"
  • Gold: "Clearly less than 100"
  • (More snarky fake stats continue.)
  • No actual lookup performed (no DB query)
  • Pure mockery for insufficient funds

Fangtasia: where you visit Eric Northman's vampire bar from True Blood in Nosferatu Manor and immediately meet Ginger the nervous human waitress whose neck has been bitten so many times the puncture wounds form a connect-the-dots pattern that vaguely resembles the constellation Orion, and she greets you with manic energy asking if you want "a drink, information, or a tourniquet" while warning that the last person who asked for garlic "is no longer with us or anywhere really." You can choose to learn about text color codes where Ginger treats basic formatting as classified information and provides an interactive tutorial with a test input field where you type `1text to make colored text, or you can pay 100 gold to look up other players' stats including their name/race/level/HP/gold/equipment/attack/defense plus a snarky charm comparison where Ginger whispers that they're either "way less attractive than you like if you're filet mignon they're gas station beef jerky" or "incredibly more attractive like supernatural levels of hotness probably glamours their dentist for free cleanings" depending on the charm differential. If you're too broke to afford the 100-gold lookup fee Ginger mocks you with fake stats like "Name: Too Poor To Remember, Level: Probably can't even afford synthetic blood, Hitpoints: Fewer than my remaining brain cells" and refuses service. The module blocks brand-new players (age 1 or less with zero dragonkills) with a message about how your parents told you never to go into such places and perhaps when you're older you'll enjoy vampire bars, which is responsible parenting preventing minors from visiting establishments where the waitstaff gets drained nightly.
