Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans
When they say "every flavour," they mean every flavour. Including the ones you really wish they didn't.
Fair Warning: Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans are a gamble. You might get chocolate. You might get vomit. Such is the price of adventure in confectionery form.
What Are These Beans?
Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans are magical candies that come in literally every flavour imaginable. They have all the ordinary ones like chocolate and peppermint and marmalade, but then you can get spinach and liver and tripe. George Weasley swore he had a bogey-flavoured one once, and based on the game's mechanics, he wasn't exaggerating.
In HogwartsLive, these beans serve a practical purpose beyond testing your gag reflex: they grant temporary buffs (or debuffs, if you're unlucky). Good-tasting beans regenerate your health over several combat rounds, while disgusting beans temporarily reduce your attack and defense stats.

How the Buffs Work
Good Beans (Regeneration)
When you eat a good-tasting bean, you receive a regeneration buff that heals you for a certain amount of HP each combat round. The buff lasts for 5-15 rounds (random), and the amount of healing depends on the bean's quality and your level.
Formula: Heal = Your Level × Bean Buff Multiplier (ranges from 0.5 to 5)
Bad Beans (Sickness Debuff)
When you eat a disgusting bean, you receive a sickness debuff that reduces both your attack and defense stats. The debuff lasts for 5-15 rounds (random), and the severity depends on how gross the bean was.
Effect: Your attack and defense are multiplied by a penalty modifier (worse beans = bigger penalty)
Candy Raffles
The module also includes a raffle system where you can spend beans to enter contests for prizes. Check the Village for active raffles (they'll be marked with ACTIVE when available). Each raffle ticket costs a certain number of beans, and winners are drawn when the raffle ends.
Strategy Tips
- • Save beans for before tough fights: Regeneration buffs can turn the tide of difficult battles
- • Don't eat beans when you're already buffed: Buffs don't stack, so you'll waste the bean
- • The odds are roughly 50/50: About half the beans are good, half are bad
- • Your candy stash shows in your bio: If you have beans, everyone can see how many you're hoarding
- • Beans are tradeable currency: Use them for raffles or just to show off your collection
Final Thoughts
Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans are a delightful gamble that adds an element of chaos to your HogwartsLive experience. Will you get chocolate or vomit? There's only one way to find out. Just remember: when they say "every flavour," they're not joking. The beans are completely honest about their contents, which is more than can be said for most magical confectionery.
